|Some pictures of the zHorn
Heruka speaker. The smaller zHorns are now called the Dakini.
Using the Fostex 168 E Sigma drivers rated at 94.5 db/watt sensitivity.
The cabinet dimensions are 8.5 x 14 x 38.5 inches. The interior is folded is like the smaller zHorn, only increased to scale.
The driver mounting plate is 1 inch thick solid maple. The cabinet is constructed of Baltic Birch and Canadian Fir with solid wood, Homasote, foam and cauk to fill the void areas.
Finished in French Polish, consisting of Shellac and Tung oil, the grain has iridesence and depth.
The background view is of the Yahara river. Much of the construction was done on my porch, overlooking the river. Also, I worked in my basement, which is not quite so photogenic.
